Las Laguna Gallery is seeking works that explore the nude human figure. Works can feature the human form in varied states of naked. The gallery is looking for works that explore the intricacies of the human physique. Works can feature males, females and can express various subject matter and or sexuality. Works can be abstract or representational.

 

Throughout history artists have successfully challenged and inspired viewers through their depiction of the nude human figure.

From Francisco de Goya's "The Nude Maja", Hokusai's "The Dream of the Fisherman's Wife", Schiele's "Friendship", or Manet's "Olympia" the human form in its glory have caused viewers to blush. Other points of reference are Warhols’ “Querelle”, Sascha Schneiders’ “Feeling of Dependency”, or Diego Velázquez's "Rokeby Venus".

This Call for Submissions is open to all local, domestic, national and international professional and amateur artists.

All art mediums including works in  Acrylic, Airbrush, Assemblage, Charcoal, Color Pencil, Collage, Digital Art, Drawings, Encaustic, Fiber Arts, Graphite, Illustration, Kitted Tapestry, Mixed Media, New Media, Oil, Other, Painting, Pastel, Photo, Traditional and Digital Photography, Watercolor, will be considered.

The work must be able to be hung on a wall to be considered. Sizes up to 4 feet are acceptable. Limit to 48in.

No work that requires special installation or instructions will be accepted.
