Sketchbook West is a unique adventure where artist sketch, draw, paint or design in tiny books. The advantage to the size ir portability and the ability to create on the spot.
A unique insight into the artist
working process.
1. Artists purchase a Sketchbook and begin the creation process.
2. In February 2017, artists return their Sketchbooks the the gallery.
3. In April , the gallery shows ALL of the books for the ENTIRE month of April.
3a. If the artist creates a larger piece of art where the Sketchbook acted as a catalystic for creation, artists can send in an image of their art.
3b. If their art is selected, artists send their larger works to the gallery to exhibit.
4. The gallery returns the Sketchbooks to the artists.

For this exhibition artists completed Sketchbooks and sent them to the gallery. The individual books will be available for display and discover.
Additionally, for this show Las Laguna Gallery accepted a number of completed works whereby the sketchbook acted as a starting point or catalyst for the larger finished works.
